Ohio based all female Noise/Experimental group, their music is like building Soundscapes of plucks & hums & glitches & whines... the youtube comment is spot on, like Wolf Eyes but female & more chilled out, but that isn't to say it's not equally as dark at times.

Emil Beaulieau

Harsh/Melodic [questionable] Noise from the American legend... his discography is Merzbow'esque expansive, my favorite being 'Dedicated to Charlie Ward', he's an experimentalist of the truest form, constantly changing styles/adding more/making mistakes. He is also the owner of the notorious RRRecords, aka: one of the best Noise labels ever. If you want to see true expression coming through intense sound and visual aggression, this is exactly that.

Harsh Noise/Retarded Punkism [i just invented that word, whatever] IMO... Punk is dead, at least in the form it used to be, the new Punk is Noise, it's angry & chaotic, it has a 'fuck you' attitude more so than any other genre of 'music' which is something a lot of people aren't even willing to see it as, but even more so the stage [well they play in the crowd] presence of bands like is what Punk is all about, all over the place, frantic, improvisational, fun & in this instance naked. They're from Boston USA & their live shows are more impressive than their releases, but thats only because this is very energetic Noise, you see/hear a mess of movement and sounds all meshing together. This set really kicks in at about 1:20

MSBR & Government Alpha

Covering two legendary Noise artists with one post [because this video is a feature of the two of them + more contributing to an in-store set] simply put, if you enjoy Harsh Noise 'emphasis on harsh' then you'll love this, both artists are from Japan & both work with the more Punk approach to Noise, like Hanatarash, Dilloway, Masonna, more so than say Merzbow or Maurizio Bianchi... a beautiful exploration of sounds most people prefer not to hear.

Maryanne Amacher

Fascinating American Experimental Noise artist, her work focuses mainly on otoacoustic emission [sound which is generated from within the inner ear] & when played at the right sound level, which is quite high and exciting, the tones in her music will cause your ears to act as neurophonic instruments that emit sounds that will seem to be issuing directly from your head. This is a clip from a 30 min docu of her being visited by Thurston Moore of Sonic Youth.

Premature Ejaculation

Dark/Creepy/Experimental... Soundscape Noise? this is my favorite project from Rozz Williams of Christian Death... in their short lived and extreme existence they created nightmarish collages of voice samples/wailing drones/screeches/machine sounds... it's very world creating, but it isn't a world many people would want to live in, Throbbing Gristle fans will love this.

BBC Radiophonic Workshop

To some this group of musicians goes without saying, nothing short of pioneers to multiple areas of music/sound. Two artists of this 'collective' of sorts have been getting a lot more recognition recently, John Baker... who's recordings have been released through Trunk Records & Delia Derbyshire, who's been recognized as one of the innovators of electronic music. This is a fascinating documentary & a brilliant introduction to these sound magicians. The links to the other parts are all in the sidebar of the first video.

Ryoji Ikeda

The only way i can think to describe his music is Conceptual Electronic... it's Minimal, it's cool... and again it's from Japan, fans of the No Input post will love this.
